Sustainability

Why is Sustainability so Important?

Sustainable business intelligence is an enterprise that increases economic value by incorporating environmental and social factors into the strategic and tactical management of a company. The goal is to operate in such a manner that an organization produces more value than it consumes and the scope of impact is extended beyond direct consumers and producers.

Modern businesses must examine their sustainability posture. This refers to the requisite need for a company to consider the effects of their business on a greater physical/environmental and social dimension and recognize it as an integral aspect of their operational management.

If sustainability is not incorporated into a company’s wealth model, a business is left vulnerable to environmental and social risk. Consequently, there is a loss of opportunity and marketability in the eyes of the ever-increasingly sustainability savvy stockholders and consumers.

Managing a business without regard to sustainability damages both competitive advantage and community support. Over time, making it economically unsustainable.
